Burgess has worked with the Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) from the start of its efforts to help Mainers sign up for health plans under the Affordable Care Act. We helped guide development of the enroll207.com website, which serves as a portal to find local assistance or purchase plans on HealthCare.gov.
Then, to make Mainers aware of the benefits and affordability of having health insurance, and the resources available through enroll207.com, we created a multi-faceted education campaign including television, digital, transit (bus) and print advertising; and many collateral materials for use statewide and locally.
A special TV spot and series of brochures in multiple languages reached out to the significant immigrant population in Maine cities.
The results far surpassed MeHAF’s targets for insured individuals during the first two open enrollment periods, in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
