The result was a special four-page insert that made a big splash in the Portland Press Herald and was designed to be a keepsake piece to inform the community of the variety of services and programs Mercy offers and where to find them across the new multi-campus Mercy Health System.

Burgess chose to convey this theme through clever use of photography depicting perseverance in nature-such as a flower growing out of stone, or fish swimming upstream—to create an engaging, informative report that was well received by MMG's shareholders.
