Efficiency Maine - "There's a New Economic Force in Maine"
This series included testimonials from real Maine business owners who have benefitted from Efficiency Maine's Business Program advice and incentives. The campaign, which featured 22 different Maine businesses, provided free publicity for the companies and gained new partners for Efficiency Maine. The spots ran on WGAN and WVOM throughout the year.
Efficiency Maine Residential Program - "Lineup"
To promote an innovative program offering Kill-A-Watt Electricity Monitors via public libraries, we created a campaign that catches the ear by evoking old-fashioned detective shows. Good casting and snappy dialog brought to life memorable energy-wasting characters like Freddy the Fridge and Flat Top the Cable Box, making the information fun for listeners to absorb...which they clearly did, as demonstrated by the waiting lists for Kill-A-Watt Monitors at libraries across Maine.
Memorial Hospital - "Where Do Babies Come From?"
Where do babies come from? Memorial Hospital, of course! This endearing spot cut through the clutter of local radio to inform the community about Memorial Hospital's recently renovated Birthing Center and its impressive capabilities.
Messer - Fisher Plows
Messer Truck Equipment knows men REALLY love their trucks—so much so that it sometimes makes them a little crazy, or gets them in hot water with their wives. These spots, aimed at promoting Messer and Fisher Plows, aired on sports radio and throughout the New England Patriots football season.
Mercy Express Care - "Express Care Blues"
Burgess Advertising crafted "Express Care Blues" to a tune that would have toes tapping. Sung by a teenager, the spot rattles through common express care woes that his family has experienced and how he's got the blues sitting home all alone while everyone's gone to Mercy Express Care. This worked to educate consumers on what Mercy Express Care can treat (minor bumps, bruises, non-threatening illnesses) and ran during the summer months when folks are more active and Mercy tends to see these types of injuries. The ad resulted in an increase in visits at both Express Care locations and had Mercy singing our praises.
Portland International Jetport - Bob Marley Spots
During a period of rapid passenger growth at the Portland International Jetport, we wrote and produced a coordinated radio and print campaign with Maine comedian, Bob Marley. The goal was not to increase traffic, but to help make air travel from PWM a little smoother. In this spot, we tell travelers how they can streamline the check-in process without giving up their favorite carry-on items.
