Our Creative Director is retiring. Are you our next CD? We are a venerable award winning Portland advertising agency is seeking a Creative Director/Copywriter to lead creative development and execution for digital (from social to programmatic to digital audio, and more), TV, radio, collateral and print advertising to a mix of healthcare, B to B, professional services, manufacturing, public sector, and commercial accounts.

Must be able to address client challenges with smart, concept-driven ideas and copy; then work with both in-house and freelance design and creative resources to create the actual ads and other varied content. Deadlines matter, but you know because you’ve been writing and producing in an agency (even an in-house one) for a while, so you understand that our purpose is to get our creative strategies and executions out to a variety of audiences through many channels and platforms.

Requirements

  • Are a strong writer/idea generator with experience in all media: digital, TV, radio, print advertising, video and web content;
  • Are confident and thoughtful in speaking and presenting to clients;
  • Are someone who understands and appreciates the importance of strategy in communications;
  • Have the ability to track and juggle internal and external deadlines on numerous simultaneous projects;
  • Are a team player who can lead, while respecting — and indeed seeking — input from the greater interdisciplinary team;
  • Are comfortable in all forms of communications with computer skills including Word, Excel and collaboration tools such as Slack, Basecamp, Monday and Google;
  • Have a minimum 7 years of creative development experience with increasing responsibility and a track record of accomplishments you feel good about.
  • This position is full-time starting in November 2025, with a requirement of in-office (min 3 days/week). An EOE.
